Neurovision Medical Products, Inc. has a few paid intern positions open for the summer of 2017. The company is located in Ventura, CA and is a surgical device manufacturer focused on motor nerve location. The positions are as follows: 1. 5. Abbott Tour with Medical Design Club

 

Medical Design Club is setting up a tour with Abbott in Sylmar and is opening it up to all BMED students!  Please see below for more details:

 

Abbott Tour (Previously St. Jude Medical):
Date: Monday, June 5th
Tour Time: 9 - 11 am, followed with a Q&A session with one of their teams
Location: Abbott in Sylmar

 

If you want to attend this tour, Abbott will need your name and address to process NDA's ahead of time. The first 20 people to sign up will have a spot reserved. You can fill this form to do that  If you are planning to go, this FORM MUST BE FILLED OUT BY 5/19!

 

If you plan to drive yourself or can drive others, please make a comment at the bottom of the form. You will need to fill out a few forms if you haven't driven others before.

BMES Apparel!
6 days left in the current campaign

We have launched a new BMES apparel design! The design comes in a variety of colors of basic t-shirts, long-sleeve shirts, tank tops, hoodies, mugs, totes, and stickers. Prices range from $2 - $25. 1.  Sustainability Task Force is a group seeking to enhance Cal Poly's EWB Chapter through working on projects related to social, economic, cross-generational and environmental sustainability. We want to ensure that our chapter is fulfilling its purpose of "equipping leaders to solve some of the world's most pressing challenges". The STF meets at 6pm every Monday in Building 10, room 227 (Local Project Room).

Project Meetings are every Monday at 7pm

Intramural Frisbee starts this Monday at 9:30 pm! Please bring light and dark shirts in order to play! 

2IMPACT meets every Tuesday at 6:30 pm at one of the Library 2nd floor fishbowls. Come by if you want to make a difference locally by volunteering in SLO!

3. EWB Tea Time is every Friday 1-3 pm at the 2nd floor of the Library facing the front, near the bookshelves. Come chat and enjoy some tea with President Dan, VP Beth, and the occasional officer!

-Civil Engineering Associates Intern Opportunity 
Company: Civil Engineering Associates. CEA is a general civil firm that provides consulting services to land development clients primarily for multi-family residential, single-family residential, mixed-use, and apartment developments. Our responsibilities range over the whole project life span, from initial planning and entitlement to preparation of design documents, and ultimately to construction administration and surveying.
Location: San Jose, 5 minutes north of downtown
Job Description: Engineering intern working directly with project managers on a variety of civil engineering tasks. You will have the opportunity to test your wit in the design of components for real projects including: storm water management, utility design and grading. You will also provide important support to our field operations by analyzing data, performing quality control checks, and interacting with contractors.
Ideal Candidate: Motivated individual with solid engineering fundamentals, good communication skills, and an ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Former AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is a plus, but not a necessity.
