Biography

Robert B. Szlavik received the B.Eng. (summa cum laude), M.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in 1991, 1994 and 1999 respectively.

He is currently a Professor of Biomedical Engineering in the Biomedical and General Engineering Department at California Polytechnic State University. Dr. Szlavik has served as a Scientific Consultant to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Center for Devices and Radiological Health. His research interests are in the areas of neural-electronics and the mathematical modeling of the electrical behavior of neurological systems.
